History of the Property
Click on the date or the wording below to see pictures of the transformation
since the purchase in July 2003.
January 2003
 |
The property was long and low with 5 rooms on the ground
floor and 5 rooms above in what was originally a spacious loft. |
| The decoration
at first was awfully 60's and 70's style and the whole place was in
need of a complete overhaul. |

|
|
|
As 2003
dawned progress was slow but the upstairs had been gutted and was ready
to be re-insulated and re-lined...this space will be 2 bedrooms and
a luxurious but compact bathroom. |
| In
the Maison we have exposed the local tuffeaux stone as we created
a new stairwell and formed.. |
 |
 |
...an
archway between the kitchen entrance area and the large living room.
This then has double doors leading to the sunny terrace. |
| The central feature in the living room is the hand
built chimney breast. Again this is built in the local stone and by
traditional methods. |
 |
 |
The garden will be mainly terraced with a small area
of lawn. There will be parking for several cars within the locked gates.
The cave pictured has no designated use as yet but suggestions are coming
in rapidly so feel free to mail us with yours!! |
